Jumpstarting the Northeast's Transition to a Renewable Energy Economy

Solar Northeast's mission is to accelerate the Northeast's transition to a renewable energy economy through large-scale investment in solar energy. Solar Northeast seeks to expand the national solar energy market and create economic development opportunities while slowing global warming, decreasing air pollution and reducing our dependence on foreign oil.

The Solar Northeast strategy calls for State-managed revenue financing from private lending institutions to install energy efficiency and solar energy technology on public buildings at no cost to the tax payer. In Solar Northeast's model, solar energy is cost-effectively bundled with energy efficiency technologies and installed on public buildings. The demand created by an investment of this size will significantly impact the national solar energy market.
